There are two major airports accessible to Baltimore
Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) – 15 Minutes from Convention Center
Washington Dulles International (IAD) – 1 – 1.5 hours from Convention Center

GETTING AROUND BALTIMORE
Downtown Baltimore is a walking destination.  Our host hotels and a variety of restaurants and shops are all within easy walking distance of one another

GETTING TO BALTIMORE FROM BWI AIRPORT
Light Rail Service:  The Light Rail Service is provided by the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) to and from BWI Marshall Airport.  There is only one fare for both trains at $1.60 each way.  For schedules call 410-539-5000 or go to www.mtamaryland.com.

Taxi:  The taxi stand is located just outside of the baggage claim area of the Lower Level of the BWI Marshall terminal. Please note that this service is available from BWI Marshall only. For cab service to BWI Marshall, please consult your local cab company. BWI Marshall taxicabs are prohibited from charging flat rates. GETTING TO BALTIMORE FROM WASHINGTON DULLES AIRPORT

Less expensive: Take Washington Flyer Coach service from Dulles direct to the West Falls Church Metrorail station.  Then board Metrorail in the direction of New Carrollton.  Change trains at the Metro Center station to the Red line towards Union Station. At Union Station, board MARC Commuter Rail to BWI Marshall Rail Station.

Least expensive: Take Washington Flyer Coach service from Dulles direct to the West Falls Church Metrorail station.  Then board Metrorail in the direction of New Carrollton.  Change trains at the Gallery Place station to the Green line towards Greenbelt.  At Greenbelt, board Metrobus Route B30 to BWI Airport.

 

Important Notice for International Travelers:

As of January 12, 2009, a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval is required for all Visa Waiver Program (VWP, see list below) travelers to the United States. The Department of Homeland Security, Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) is a free, automated system used to determine the eligibility of visitors to travel to the United States under the VWP. It collects the same information as the paper I-94W form that VWP travelers fill out en route to the United States. ESTA applications may be submitted at any time prior to travel. An ESTA authorization generally will be valid for up to two years. Authorizations will be valid for multiple entries into the United States. DHS recommends that travelers submit an ESTA application as soon as they begin making travel plans.
